PVH Group Inc. has pledged its commitment to nurture the next generation of Barbadian creative talent with a donation of audio-visual equipment to the Barbados Community College (BCC). The initiative was spearheaded by a former BCC student, Mr Christopher Johnson-Brancker, who serves as Creative Lead within the group’s marketing department.
The audio-visual gear will enhance the hands-on learning environment for students enrolled in the College’s Visual Arts/Graphic Arts programs. By providing access to professional-grade technology, the donation aims to better prepare students for modern careers in media production, digital arts, and content creation.
“Investing in the creative potential of young Barbadians is at the heart of this donation,” said Mr Johnson-Brancker. “As someone whose journey started at BCC, I know firsthand how transformative access to the right tools can be. Through this donation, our goal at PVH Group Inc. is to empower young storytellers and filmmakers with the technology they need to share Barbadian creativity with the world and explore various career opportunities in the field.”
Tutor Mr Allan Lowe expressed appreciation for the donation, emphasising the vital role alumni contributions and corporate partnerships play in strengthening educational programs and student experiences.
The college will integrate the donated equipment into its creative and media curriculum, giving students access to vital hands-on training.
